Giving back to our Pet Care Community

Waggy Tail believes that the secret to happiness is giving back. There is a saying that goes, “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.” Waggy Tail believes that helping others not only leads to a happier life but also a healthier, wealthier, more productive, and meaningful life.

We regularly work with local charities in the area to help abandoned and stray animals in our communities live a healthy and safe life. Please consider donating to one of the organizations below. The work they do is priceless, and the animals count on our help to survive.

Mary Garcia is the founder of Miami Beach Animal Advocates (MBAA). She has been directly involved with protecting, advocating for and rescuing the injured, abandoned, neglected, and abused animals in the city of Miami Beach for the last 17 years.

Many rescue animals are found sick, injured, abused, abandoned, neglected, or suffering from conditions requiring comprehensive veterinary, rehabilitative, and/or long-term care services. Sadly, countless animals with treatable conditions are unnecessarily euthanized, or worse, left alone to suffer a painful, agonizing and senseless death on the street.

MBAA’s main objective is to provide full veterinary and rehabilitative care services for sick, injured, abused, abandoned and neglected animals. Along with full veterinary care, we would like to offer comprehensive programs to improve the welfare of animals even further. The veterinary care and programs will be funded through donations from private individuals, corporations, and through in-kind donations from our many service providers. Miami Beach Animal Advocates (MBAA) will be a non-profit animal welfare organization providing for animals in need on Miami Beach and across South Florida with the veterinary care, treatment, and other rescue related services needed to afford them a second chance at life.

Donations will always go directly to animals in need right here in South Florida and you will be able to see your donations at work. It really takes a village to rescue animals and no one can do it alone, that’s why we need your help. Your support is crucial in making MBAA a true success and thank you for your support whether it be via donation, fostering, or transportation.

Our mission is to raise awareness about the thousands of feral and stray cats (which collectively we refer to as community cats) living outdoors throughout Miami Beach. We help to prevent the number of homeless cats from increasing and to successfully manage existing colonies by our Trap, Spay/Neuter, and Release program. We love cats and are here to help them while serving the community.

Volunteers are the backbone of our program. We rely very heavily on volunteers to represent our organization and spread the word about our work. Our Spay/Neuter Day volunteers are equally vital, working beside our staff to ensure that each cat gets the help and love that they need. Every little bit helps!

A donation to SOBE Cats Spay and Neuter is an investment in saving lives. Our Founder and Executives are 100% volunteers, so your money will go directly to helping our community cats!
